If you were in Los Angeles in August 2014, you should have paid a visit to Griffith Park, where the Independent Shakespeare Company was playing The Taming of the Shrew in repertory as part of the Shakespeare festival at the Old Zoo, through August 29. The production was set in the 1950s and took its inspiration from the Fellini cinema classic La Dolce Vita. Melissa Chalsma played Kate, and Luis Galindo was Petruchio.
