Photographer of the Week: Steve Jones

The initial concept for the shoot we’re looking at today came from one of the models.

Samantha Pinegar

Samantha Pinegar was a member of the ‘Angels of Death’ team that competed in the Memphis Roller Derby. One night in 2006, she dreamed about being spanked by a member of the rival team, the ‘Priz Killa Presleys’. To be specific, she dreamed of herself across the knee of demon skater Cori Dials:

Cori was only too happy to collaborate, and a photographer was selected: Steve Jones, known for his fine, beautifully lit shots of women. He specializes in people photography, both on location and in his studio, a converted grocery store in his home town of Memphis, Tennessee. And so it was that Samantha and Cori arrived at the studio on November 11.

They made a first attempt with the riding whip…

… then hit gold with what must be a contender for the unlikeliest spanking implement of all time:

Well, it was only a dream!
