God Hand was a Japanese video game released in 2006 that involved a great deal of animated violence and, by the looks of it, not much in the way of a story. No surprises there, then. But at least the adversaries in God Hand included some comely lady demonesses. And more to the point, it was also one of the first such games – maybe even the first – to enable the player to defeat them in a manner likely to appeal to our corner of the world:
It has to be said that the spankings are all a bit ‘samey’ despite the range of different ladies on the receiving end. Nor am I really sure about sending them flying over the horizon with one final devastating smack.
But never mind, the game was promoted in Japan with a live-action television commercial in which the mighty God Hand goes around using his super strength to do good deeds such as helping an unfortunate lady who has locked herself out of her car. He also gets to administer justice to a store nuisance.
Luckily for her, the scene doesn’t reproduce the usual end of a God Hand spanking!
