As a photographer, Peter Carlson from Portland, Oregon, is as old-school as they come. He shoots on film. He develops his work in a real darkroom. He creates silver gelatin prints of his pictures. He’s a traditional artist using traditional materials. And what he specializes in is portraiture, capturing the personalities of his clients in all their beauty or eccentricity. Or indeed both.
And he’s not afraid to take an unusual angle from time to time.
One unusual angle, for him, was a series of vintage-style glamor photos he took early in 2016, with four models including one of those trailer girls, Darcy Sharpe. True to the genre, this involved the girls in a bit of a fight. Or joust. Or both.
