Spanked at the Funfair

This is probably not the first place anyone will come looking for advice on a great day out for all the family, but if you’re ever in Pennsylvania with your loved ones, you won’t go wrong with Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg. It was founded in 1926 and therefore celebrates its 90th anniversary this year.

To ensure that it all stays family-friendly, there’s a dress code, so nobody is going to exceed the usual bounds of modesty. Thankfully in this day and age it’s not too restrictive.

But pleasingly, one specific rule is: no thongs. Suits me. I don’t care for thongs.

There’s more to Knoebels than just rides and candyfloss. There’s a pool and a campsite. There’s a photobooth where you can dress up (no thongs) and have your picture taken in old-time vintage style.

And the park is full of colorful handmade statues to enjoy, including this big fella:

Even if you’re one of those people who find clowns creepy, this one is surely at the more benevolent end of the spectrum. Visitors are encouraged to pose for photographs with him (no thongs), and over the years many a cute, wholesome picture has been snapped.

But it seems that some girls can’t resist the temptation to be just a little naughty…

Do you think that, under their shorts, they might have been wearing… thongs? If so – serves them right!
